In order to keep the event exciting and a new challenge each time. The long and short course both will change every year. You can expect between 20-25 miles for the short course with one or two approx. 1 mile long dirt sections. For the longer course it will be between 45-55 miles with up to 3 dirt sections approx. 1 mile in length.

Also due to the constant changing conditions and etc. The course is usually never determined until the day before the event so due to this we want have the course mapped on the site. But not to worry the course will be so well marked you want have any problems finding your way.

1. Everyone is required to wear a certified helmet to participate in this event.

2. In years past the questions have come up do I need special tires, cross bike, or a mountain bike for this event. The answer is NO for the past 4 years at least 99% of the field are riding nothing but standard road bikes with road bike tires.

3. Has there been a lot of flats. In the past there has only been a couple issues with individuals getting flats on the course. So its not a real concern but its always good to carry a spare just in case. Of course we do have sag support that will stop and help you out if you need it.

4. What level of riders are generally at this event? Well we have a mixture of all levels from local race teams that show up for the challange. To first time event riders.
